Company History

Lubbock Lock and Key has been serving the security needs of Lubbock and the South Plains of Texas (and beyond) since 1971. The company is still owned and operated by the founders, Larry and Nancy Viaille.

From our humble beginnings operating one truck with one locksmith and no storefront location, we have grown to be one of the largest and most well rounded locksmith companies in Texas. We have a fleet of fully equipped service trucks, and a group of trained locksmiths ready to serve you.

After working out of our home since 1971. Our first storefront was located at 4901 Brownfield Highway in 1974. From there, we moved to 2543 34th Street in 1975. Seven years later we doubled our store size and moved down the block to 2535 and 2537 34th Street and finally in 1985 we moved to our present location at 2434 34th Street. We have been located near 34th Street and University since 1975 (over 40 years) and in our present location for over 30 years.

Our stability of location is enhanced by the fact that our technicians are long-term employees with an average length of service of over 14 years each.

Lubbock Lock & Key looks forward to serving Lubbock and the South Plains area for many years to come. The good people of West Texas have helped us grow and prosper and we want to return the favor.
